My entry for *iPandacakes's Redesign Contest.
Here's a little form. :3

Species: Pegacorn (Alicorn but with regular pony body)
Sexual Preference: Bisexual
Cutie Mark: Sun symbol
Talent: Making mirages and illusions, as well as tricking people.
Personality: Straight to the point, tricky, coy, stubborn, sly.
Profession: Trader/Merchant
Homeplace: Saddle Arabia
Backstory: Mirage is a drifter who lives in the shifting sands of Saddle Arabia. She finds treasures buried in the sands and in tombs and then sells them to various merchants and collecters she finds in cities and bazaars. Mirage's first memory was of a vague figure of a pony leaving her in a sandstorm. She was later found by a Sand Drifter (slang for ponies without homes that navigate the deserts) named Desert Dusk. He taught her how to explore the desert, use her magic to manipulate ponies, tough out sandstorms, and find water. When he passed away, she carried on his legacy by following in his profession.
Mirage tends to keep to herself because she learned not to trust anypony, and to keep the fact the she is an alicorn a secret. (headcanon time) Alicorns that are not believed to 'earn' their right and are just born to normal ponies are frowned upon in pony society. Afraid that this would affect her business, Mirage grew her very short, boyish mane out to cover her horn. She is exceedingly good at deceiving people with her quick tongue and illusions, and she is also very smart.

I've always wanted to use the name Mirage, and then I saw her and I was like OMG I MUST DOOITTT
I didn't win, but I'll use the mane and backstory for a new character.

The alicorn Twilight bases seem to suit her, definitely, and I like how long you made her mane xD

I'd expect if she wasnt hovering or flying, she may trip over it llol
